City Tutor – Terms of Use & Service Agreement

1. About Us and Acceptance of Terms

CityTutor is a Bangladesh-based digital platform connecting students, guardians, and qualified tutors nationwide. By accessing or using our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Our Role

CityTutor is not a coaching center, agency, or employer. We operate solely as an intermediary matching platform. Teaching arrangements, fee schedules, educational quality, and personal safety remain the mutual responsibility of tutors and guardians.

3. User Eligibility and Integrity

To register and use CityTutor, you must be a resident of Bangladesh and at least 18 years of age. All submitted information—including name, photo, location, contact number, and academic qualifications—must be accurate and authentic. Submitting fraudulent credentials or impersonating others is strictly prohibited and subject to legal action.

4. Service Fee and Revenue Model

Our platform revenue model operates under the following terms:

• a) When a tuition placement is confirmed through CityTutor, a service fee equal to 50% of the first month's honorarium is payable to CityTutor.
• b) This service fee must be remitted within 7 days of commencing tuition via bKash, Nagad, or authorized bank payment.
• c) Circumventing the platform to arrange private agreements is a breach of contract. Accounts involved in circumvention will be permanently terminated and blacklisted.

5. Guidance for Parents and Guardians

Guardians may post tuition requirements on CityTutor free of charge. Verifying tutor credentials, reviewing student or national identity cards, and ensuring household safety remain the sole responsibility of guardians. Having an adult present during sessions is strongly advised.

6. Data Privacy

We value your privacy and do not sell personal data to third parties. For tuition matching purposes, relevant details such as your name, district, and educational preferences are shared with prospective tutors or guardians.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability

CityTutor does not guarantee academic performance, examination outcomes, or individual conduct. CityTutor is not liable for private financial disputes, accidents, or disagreements arising between tutors and guardians.

8. Modifications to Service and Terms

CityTutor reserves the right to amend, suspend, or update these terms, fee structures, or platform features at any time without prior notice.
